Abstract

|
A malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor, appearently arising in the left ovary of a 57 year old woman is described. The patient had no stigmata of von Reclinghausen disease. The tumor was located in the position of the left ovary and had
metastasized
to ilium. The neural sheath origin of the tumor was confirmed by light mocroscopic findings. After radical excision, she had 6 cycles of adjuvant chemotherapy and still liver without evidence of recurrence.
